Moving Etiquette Checklist

  • Attempt to get a good night of sleep before the moving day. No move is the same, it could be a long day.
  • Make proper arrangements for your small children and /or pets on the moving day. They may slow down the moving process.
  • Be sure to unplug all of your electronic devices.
  • All boxes should be packed tight and dense, taped/sealed to prevent items from falling out and labeled for easy unpacking.
  • You do not have to remove drawers from the chest of drawers.
  • Try to make sure all boxes/ containers are stacked neatly in the room. This will speed up the process.
  • Make sure someone is at your new home to tell the movers where to unload items.
  • Tipping is a nice gesture. Tips should be given to the team lead to distribute to the moving team.
